Academic Endowment Scholarship

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • Must be admitted to an ASU program at the West campus
  • Must have completed at least 56 credit hours
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Enrolled full time (at least 7 hours) for fall & spring semesters

ASU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WEST SCHOLARSHIP

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • ASU West student who is a junior, senior or graduate student
  • Should prepare a 200 word statement on how scholarship will help them
  • Any college major or field of interest is acceptable
  • Priority given to student demonstrating financial need
  • Must have minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be taking at least 9 hours each semesters at the West campus
  • Required to attend one alumni event and board meeting each semester.
  • Financial aid provide qualified candidates to ASU Alumni Association committee and final selection by board of directors

ASU Campus Scholarship (Formerly known as Devils West/Greyhound)

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • May be a full or part-time student at ASU’s West campus
  • Completed at least 56 semester hours of college credits prior to receiving this scholarship
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Must have minimum GPA of 3.0

ASU Community Leadership Scholarship

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be admitted to an ASU undergraduate program at the West campus
  • Have demonstrated leadership and community service involvement
  • Possess leadership characteristics

ASU West Visionaries Scholarship

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • Only full or part-time students at the West campus
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Buzz Sands Chevrolet Scholarship

  •      Must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior
  •      Must demonstrate financial need
  •      Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more)
  •      Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

Charlene E. Pendron Memorial Endowed Scholarship

  • Preference to students interested in writing, nursing, or education
  • Additional preference to White Mountain area high schools, if no applicants from the White Mountains, then a student must be Arizona native
  •  Financial need is NOT a factor
  • Recipient(s) shall be a high school senior who enrolls at ASU West. Current standards at the time the Agreement was signed call for a 2.5 GPA as this award is intended to recognize and encourage character over scholarship but over time this requirement may vary.
  • First preference will be given to a student opting for studies leading to a bachelor's degree in education or wishing to become a writer or nurse.
  • Additional preference will be given to a high school graduate who resides in the White Mountains area of Arizona (Pinetop/Lakeside/Show Low/McNary) or is a direct descendant thereof.
  • If there is no qualified applicant under the previous provision, final preference will be given to an Arizona native.
  •  No discrimination may be shown on the basis of: race, religion, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or sexual preference.
  • School spirit and service to the community are not determinative in the selection process. A specific enjoinder is made against imposing or applying the moral standards of the day to the selection process.

If further financial need is a factor: Student must have a Federal Financial Aid Form on file at Student Financial Assistance Office and submit a copy of the Statement of Need and a copy of the Financial Aid Notification with the scholarship application.

Dr. Connie Borror Achievement Scholarship

  •      Must be admitted to any program at New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences with STEM major
  •      Arizona residents or non-residents
  •      No minimum GPA requirement
  •      Part time or full time
  •     Must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5
  •     Financial need is NOT a factor

Courtyard Cafés Scholarship

  •      Must be an Arizona resident
  •      Must be admitted to an ASU program at the West campus
  •      Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  •      Must be enrolled full time (at least 7 hours) for fall & spring semesters

 Dean Elizabeth Langland for Academic Excellence Scholarship

  •  Recipient shall be enrolled in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences.
  •  Recipient shall be an undergraduate or graduate student
  •  Recipient will have maintained at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0

DOROTHY B. LEVIN Scholarship

  • Must be admitted to any program at ASU’s New College
  • Students who have demonstrated an active participation in promoting economic and social justice especially for women
  • Applicants must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0
  • Full time student preferred
  • Femonstrate verified financial need
  • Preference given to women who will be empowered through education, information and support

Edwin K. & Margaret Jacobs Delph Endowed Scholarship (known as Delph Scholars)

  • For students attending classes or programs at ASU’s West campus
  • Donor’s requirement that students be attending a majority of their classes or programs at ASU West campus
  • Award amount and number of scholarships will vary based on availability of funds as determined by financial aid services
  • Equal weight given to academic promise and financial need

John M. & Hellen S. Jacobs Scholarship (known as Jacobs Scholars)

  • For students attending classes or programs at ASU’s West campus
  • Donor’s requirement that students be attending a majority of their classes or programs at ASU West campus
  • Award amount and number of scholarships will vary based on availability of funds as determined by financial aid services
  • Equal weight given to academic promise and financial need

Marie Sands Endowed Scholarship

  •      First preference: high school to community college to ASU’s West campus
  •      Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours)
  •      Preference given to West Valley residents
  •      Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  •      Demonstrate financial need

NEW COLLEGE DEAN’S ADVISORY BOARD Scholarship

  •      Must be admitted to any program at ASU’s New College
  •      Must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5
  •      Full time student preferred
  •      Demonstrate verified financial need.
  •      The top three candidates that most closely match the criteria will be presented to the Dean’s Advisory Board for their recommendation.

NCIAS Scholarship ENDOWMENT

  • Must be an undergraduate full or part time student pursuing a major in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences.
  • Financial need not a criteria
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Evidence of community service and leadership activities in the past 24 months.

PATSY REEVE MEMORIAL Scholarship

  • Recipients shall be undergraduate students enrolled in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences
  • Financial need is a factor
  • Award half of annual amount each semester

Robert E. Balster Memorial Scholarship

  • First generation in their family to attend college (defined as neither parent graduated from a 4-year college or university)
  • A first-generation United States citizen by birth or naturalization whose parents were born abroad as non-United States citizens
  • Maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0

Vernon E. Lattin Cultural Diversity

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • Must be admitted to any ASU undergraduate program at the West campus
  • Must have completed at least 56 credit hours
  • Must be working on their first bachelor’s degree
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Preference will be given to an underrepresented or economically disadvantaged student
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours

Vice President’s Leadership Scholarship

  •      Must be an Arizona resident
  •      Recipients shall be full-time, junior or senior level students at ASU’s West campus
  •      Scholarship is not renewable
  •      Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
  •      Recipients shall demonstrate a record of academic achievement and community service.
  •      Financial need is not a consideration.
