Finding funding

Discover the first step in launching your next research project with New College. This page connects faculty and researchers to tools, tips, and funding databases—like Pivot-RP—that make identifying external grant opportunities easier and more efficient.

Whether you’re exploring federal agencies, private foundations, or university resources, discover where to start and how to navigate ASU’s submission process.

Request internal funding

Before you apply

Once you’ve found a potential funding opportunity, remember that most proposals must be submitted through ASU—not by individual researchers. Our research advancement team will help review, route, and officially submit your proposal to ensure it meets all university and sponsor requirements.

Guidance for proposals submitted through ASU

  1. Contact your program officer early (if applicable)
  2. You do not need a login to search funding opportunities on grants.gov
  3. Authorized Organization Representatives (AOR) submit applications on behalf of the institution, therefore "AOR" access is restricted to the ORSPA staff at ASU.

Independent submissions

  1. For independent submissions, feel free to contact your RA for assistance or if not needed, submit a form for credit with your unit.
  2. If you have any further questions or want to check eligibility, please email us at [email protected].
