"About the Hub" over gold painted outline of a circle

Indigenous Peoples worldwide are amongst the most impacted and vulnerable communities in the climate crisis. As part of the Global Majority, many of them engage their distinct cultural knowledges, beliefs, and practices in addressing challenges brought about by neoliberal policies.

How might we foreground Indigenous perspectives at the intersection of environmental justice, ecological knowledge, and our best critical climate science?

This New College initiative relationally responds to community needs, locally and globally, and integrates thought and scholarship across disciplines to elevate Frontline and  Indigenous voices fomenting systemic change and inviting those othered, sidelined, silenced, erased, or marginalized by prevailing power hierarchies into the conversation about climate and sustainability through a decolonial and liberatory lens.
