Sentence of the Month

How often do we take the time to appreciate that most fundamental unit of language? To celebrate student writing, New College instructors will select one sentence each month to present and praise as a gem of syntactic craft.

“I like books whose virtue is all drawn together in a page or two. I like sentences that don't budge though armies cross them.”
