The Climate and Community Hub is honored to launch the CCH Community Fellows—uplifting the deep, place-based knowledge and research led by Indigenous scholars, knowledge holders, and community leaders. These awards reflect our commitment to building and sustaining communities by recognizing and amplifying the work already happening in and for local Indigenous communities.
In alignment with our values, we begin with existing relationships and move with intention and care. Awardees are selected through a process grounded in trust and respect, and honored not only for their contributions to climate and community resilience but for the ways they embody long-term, intergenerational thinking. We strive to recognize their time, knowledge, and leadership through meaningful honorariums and dedicated public events that center their voices.
This program is not just about recognition—it is a step in building for the future: supporting a growing, reciprocal network of Indigenous-led climate work that continues beyond any single event or year. This fellowship focuses on building out reciprocal relationships where we are supporting the work of our fellows while also bringing them into ASU spaces to learn from and with them.
