Dr. Marshall is extremely interested in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and publishes in this area in addition to her scholarly research on yeast genetics. She is an award winning mentor and an active grant-writer in areas promoting STEM education, access and excellence. Dr. Ferry is the Associate Dean of Research and Strategic Initiatives. She works with New College faculty and administration to move forward strategic research, programmatic, or community-facing initiatives and advance research and external funding within New College. She works closely with Dr. Marshall to execute the mission of SESEL and other initiatives related to research and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduates.
