Camp cost

The Future Lawyers Institute is proudly supported by Rafi Law Group. They have generously provided full scholarships for all selected students. Each scholarship covers the total cost of attendance, valued at $469 per student.

If selected, students must submit a refundable $50 deposit to secure their spot. This deposit will be fully refunded upon the student's successful completion of the entire camp. Full scholarships are reserved for students who did not receive a full scholarship to attend law camp last year.

General camp information FAQs

The camp runs Monday through Friday for five consecutive days, either June 1–5 or June 8–12 depending on the camp. Daily hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up windows are clearly scheduled to ensure smooth transitions.

No. This is a non-residential (day) camp, meaning students return home each afternoon.

The camp takes place at ASU West Valley campus, located in northwest Phoenix valley at 4701 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ 85306. All camps are primarily in the La Sala Ballrooms on campus.

The camp is designed for motivated high school students rising into 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who are interested in exploring a specific academic or career field.

Students can expect:

  • Interactive workshops
  • Hands-on activities or labs
  • Guest speakers and industry professionals
  • Group collaboration projects
  • A final presentation or showcase
     

Drop-off, pick-up and parking

Designated drop-off and pick-up location on campus is in Lot 11 on the north side of the West Valley campus. Staff members are present during those windows to ensure student safety.

If the child  is of legal driving age, they may drive themselves with parental permission. Parking instructions and any required permits will be shared beforehand.

Parents should notify camp staff as soon as possible.

Dress code and conduct

Students should wear comfortable, school-appropriate clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required, especially if labs or active sessions are included.

Students are expected to:

  • Be respectful
  • Participate actively
  • Follow campus rules
  • Engage professionally with peers and guest speakers

A student code of conduct will be shared and must be agreed upon before participation.

The 5-day camps do not offer college credit, but students will receive a certificate of completion.

Thanks to their support, every selected student will receive a full scholarship covering the total cost of attendance—valued at $469 per student. We’re thrilled to offer full scholarships again this year, and to ensure we can extend this opportunity to as many students as possible, full scholarships are reserved for students who did not receive a full scholarship to attend law camp last year.

To secure their spot, students accepted into the Future Lawyers Institute are required to submit a refundable $50 deposit. This deposit will be fully refunded upon the student’s full attendance and successful completion of the entire camp. If the deposit presents a financial hardship, special circumstances may be considered for a waiver.

At this time, scholarships are not available for the Future Doctors Institute or the Forensic Science Institute

Full or partial refunds are available before a specific deadline. After that date, refunds may not be guaranteed.

Cancellation policy – Forensic Science and Future Doctors Institutes

  • Withdraw before May 8, 2026: 50% refund minus the nonrefundable $50 deposit.
  • Withdraw after May 8, no refund.

Cancellation policy – Future Lawyer’s Institute

  • This camp is free but requires a $50 refundable deposit.
  • Students who attend all five days and have no documented behavior issues will receive a full refund within 3 weeks of the end of camp.
  • Students who cancel after May 8, 2026, will not receive a refund of the deposit.

Safety and supervision

Students are supervised by:

  • Camp directors
  • Trained instructors
  • University-affiliated staff
  • Student leaders

Adult supervision is maintained at all times. All staff are fully background checked and vetted. 

ASU campus safety protocols are followed. Emergency procedures are reviewed with students on Day 1. Staff are trained to respond appropriately to medical or safety concerns.

While there may not be dedicated medical personnel exclusively assigned to camp, ASU campus emergency services are readily available.

Food and personal items

All camps provide breakfast and lunch. 

We will do our best to accommodate any food allergies or restrictions when disclosed in advance.

A packing list will be provided before camp begins.

Technology and communication

Phone use is limited during instructional time but allowed during breaks.  

Emergency contact information provided during registration will be used immediately if needed.

Social experience

Absolutely. Camps are structured with group activities, collaboration projects, and icebreakers designed to build connections quickly.

Students at these camps are all rising 10th, 11th, and 12 grade high school students and are in the camp together. 

Completion

Yes — each student will receive a certificate of completion.
