Our camps provide hands-on learning, personal development, and a glimpse into college life for a variety of interests. With both paid and scholarship options, there’s a camp for everyone!

Camp cost

The Future Lawyers Institute is proudly supported by Rafi Law Group. They have generously provided full scholarships for all selected students. Each scholarship covers the total cost of attendance, valued at $469 per student.

If selected, students must submit a refundable $50 deposit to secure their spot. This deposit will be fully refunded upon the student's successful completion of the entire camp. Full scholarships are reserved for students who did not receive a full scholarship to attend law camp last year.

Forensic Science Institute

Join us for the Future Doctors Institute designed for future 10th, 11th, and 12th graders with aspirations of attending medical school. 

  Examine critical disciplines, including biology, chemistry, healthcare innovation, and persuasive speaking skills.

General camp information FAQs

The camp runs Monday through Friday for five consecutive days, either June 1–5 or June 8–12 depending on the camp. Daily hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up windows are clearly scheduled to ensure smooth transitions.

No. This is a non-residential (day) camp, meaning students return home each afternoon.

The camp takes place at ASU West Valley campus, located in northwest Phoenix valley at 4701 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ 85306. All camps are primarily in the La Sala Ballrooms on campus.

The camp is designed for motivated high school students rising into 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who are interested in exploring a specific academic or career field.

Students can expect:

  • Interactive workshops
  • Hands-on activities or labs
  • Guest speakers and industry professionals
  • Group collaboration projects
  • A final presentation or showcase
     

Drop-off, pick-up and parking

Designated drop-off and pick-up location on campus is in Lot 11 on the north side of the West Valley campus. Staff members are present during those windows to ensure student safety.

If the child  is of legal driving age, they may drive themselves with parental permission. Parking instructions and any required permits will be shared beforehand.

Parents should notify camp staff as soon as possible.

Dress code and conduct

Students should wear comfortable, school-appropriate clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required, especially if labs or active sessions are included.

Students are expected to:

  • Be respectful
  • Participate actively
  • Follow campus rules
  • Engage professionally with peers and guest speakers

A student code of conduct will be shared and must be agreed upon before participation.

Thanks to their support, every selected student will receive a full scholarship covering the total cost of attendance—valued at $469 per student. We’re thrilled to offer full scholarships again this year, and to ensure we can extend this opportunity to as many students as possible, full scholarships are reserved for students who did not receive a full scholarship to attend law camp last year.

To secure their spot, students accepted into the Future Lawyers Institute are required to submit a refundable $50 deposit. This deposit will be fully refunded upon the student’s full attendance and successful completion of the entire camp. If the deposit presents a financial hardship, special circumstances may be considered for a waiver.

At this time, scholarships are not available for the Future Doctors Institute or the Forensic Science Institute. 

Full or partial refunds are available before a specific deadline. After that date, refunds may not be guaranteed.

Cancellation policy – Forensic Science and Future Doctors Institutes

  • Withdraw before May 8, 2026: 50% refund minus the nonrefundable $50 deposit.
  • Withdraw after May 8, no refund.

Cancellation policy – Future Lawyer’s Institute

  • This camp is free but requires a $50 refundable deposit.
  • Students who attend all five days and have no documented behavior issues will receive a full refund within 3 weeks of the end of camp.
  • Students who cancel after May 8, 2026, will not receive a refund of the deposit.

Safety and supervision

Students are supervised by:

  • Camp directors
  • Trained instructors
  • University-affiliated staff
  • Student leaders

Adult supervision is maintained at all times. All staff are fully background checked and vetted. 

ASU campus safety protocols are followed. Emergency procedures are reviewed with students on Day 1. Staff are trained to respond appropriately to medical or safety concerns.

While there may not be dedicated medical personnel exclusively assigned to camp, ASU campus emergency services are readily available.

Food and personal items

All camps provide breakfast and lunch. 

We will do our best to accommodate any food allergies or restrictions when disclosed in advance.

Technology and communication

Phone use is limited during instructional time but allowed during breaks.  

Emergency contact information provided during registration will be used immediately if needed.

Social experience

Absolutely. Camps are structured with group activities, collaboration projects, and icebreakers designed to build connections quickly.

Students at these camps are all rising 10th, 11th, and 12 grade high school students and are in the camp together. 

Completion

Yes — each student will receive a certificate of completion.

Additional camps at the West Valley campus

Step into the world of modern engineering at the MicroMaker: Microchips to Collaborative Robotics summer camp for ages 15 – 18, where students explore how technology evolves from microchips to real-world robotic systems. Participants will learn directly from an Arizona State University faculty member, gaining insight into the same tools and techniques used in college labs and industry. The experience begins with embedded systems, where students program the ESP32-S3 using MicroPython and work with sensors and peripherals to build interactive devices. In the second phase, they transition to collaborative robotics, programming a six-axis robot arm to perform motion control, set coordinate frames, and complete tasks. By connecting coding, electronics, and robotics, MicroMaker gives students practical experience in modern automation—and a clear view of what engineering looks like in action.

Session 2

This camp engages students aged 11 – 14 in hands-on activities that introduce integrated engineering—a multidisciplinary approach that combines mechanical, electrical, software, and design thinking skills to solve real-world problems. Through a series of interactive design challenges, students will work in teams to brainstorm, prototype, test, and refine their ideas. Along the way, they will design, build, and improve their projects while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking skills. The week concludes with a final showcase, where students present their solutions to family and friends and reflect on how engineers collaborate to tackle real-world challenges. This camp runs from 9 AM – 5 PM each day at ASU’s West Valley Campus in Glendale. Campers must bring their own lunches.

Step into the role of an engineer this summer with the WithKiP Robotics Camp! Students aged 11 – 14 will design and 3D print custom robot components, wire electrical systems to power movement, and use coding to program their own KiP robot to complete challenges – no previous experience necessary.

Campers will collaborate to design a camp-wide obstacle course and create custom attachments for their robots, testing and refining their designs through hands-on challenges. Each day builds towards more complex topics, encouraging students to think critically, iterate on their ideas, and take ownership of their designs.

The camp culminates in a final showcase, where students run their robots through the obstacle course they designed, putting their work to the test.

Throughout the camp, participants explore mechanical design, circuits, and computer programming while solving real-world engineering problems. By the end of the program, students will have built and programmed a robot while developing the creativity and confidence that define great engineers.
