New College Schools and Degree Programs

Bringing together the best of both a small-college experience with its close personal relationships and a top-tier research university with its cutting-edge research faculty, ASU’s New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences is nationally unique. Working across old disciplinary boundaries, our faculty produce innovative research, not just report on it. We take our students with us on this fascinating journey, which provides extraordinary opportunities for growth and exciting ways to shape your future.

Representing the core of ASU’s West campus, the New College prepares students to understand and address the significant challenges facing us in the 21st century. Through coursework that breaks down the boundaries between traditional disciplines, service learning, and faculty-directed independent research, the New College promises academic rigor and meaningful interaction between faculty and students that enriches the learning environment and shapes the undergraduate and graduate experience.

New College offers bachelor’s degree programs and master’s degree programs within three schools: Humanities, Arts & Cultural Studies, Mathematical & Natural Sciences and Social & Behavioral Sciences.
