SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
General Information
The New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences offers annual and endowed scholarships every year for students to help finance their education at Arizona State University. Awards range from $100 to $5,000 per semester and are based on a broad spectrum of criteria. Deadline for submission is December 11,2009. For direct questions call Diana Herrera at 602-543-7000

How to apply for scholarships?
- Review the criteria for each scholarship listed below before completing the application to be sure that you meet the requirements.
- Complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Complete the General Scholarship Application for ASU which is optional - but suggested if you wish to be considered for university-wide scholarships through the Office of Scholarship.
Only one New College Scholarship Application form is used for all applicable New College scholarships and Campus wide scholarships available to New College majors. By completing the General Scholarship Application for ASU (which is optional), you will also be considered for university-wide scholarships administered by the Office of Scholarship.
The scholarship selection committee will review your application and if you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will be notified via letter sent to the address you have on file with ASU.

ASU WEST VISIONARIES SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be an Arizona resident
- Full or part-time students who are West campus majors
- Demonstrate financial need (FAFSA)
- Must be a sophomore, junior or senior
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

BUZZ SANDS CHEVROLET SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be an undergraduate in New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences
- Must demonstrate Financial Need (FAFSA)
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more)
- Must have minimum GPA of 2.5

COURTYARD CAFÉS SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be an Arizona resident
- Must be admitted to an ASU West program
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be enrolled in at least 7 hours for Fall & Spring semesters at ASU West
- Renewable, if criteria are maintained

J. CHARLES & KATHARINE WETZLER SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be an Arizona resident
- Be enrolled as full-time student at ASU West campus
- Must be a return student who had to leave college for at least 1 year due to economic necessity
- Must have minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must write a 250 word essay expressing their educational goals (attach with your application as part of your personal statement)
- Recipient will participate in a mentoring program and required to meet once a month with the donor.
- Renewable if maintain eligibility (with donor permission only)
