Explore the behavioral, psychological, and social factors that influence families, communities, societies and cultures. This program was designed with two tracks – a degree with an emphasis either in Behavioral Sciences (IBS) or Social Sciences (ISS). The IBS degree provides students with knowledge about the biological and/or social principles related to the behavior of individuals across multiple social contexts and institutions. The ISS degree provides students with a core curriculum and electives chosen among three course clusters: Identity/Difference, Power/Knowledge and Local/Global. The program also prepares students interested in graduate work with a substantive understanding of the theoretical assumptions and methodological techniques underlying the behavioral sciences.
