NEW COLLEGE

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN LIFE SCIENCES

Major Requirements

The Integrated Natural Sciences implemented a new curricular program in the fall of 2005. Students that matriculate in the fall of 2005 or after are automatically enrolled in this curriculum. Students that entered prior to fall 2005 are in curricular program that was in place at the time they enrolled.

The major difference between the two curricula is that the current curriculum is much more experiential in nature and contains many more laboratories than the former curriculum. Students in the older curriculum may choose to change to the current curriculum, but students in the current curriculum may not move backward to the older curriculum. If you are in the old curriculum and would like to change to the new program please contact Sue Lafond, our departmental advisor.

As the department transitions into the new curriculum, students may find that some of the courses in the older curriculum are not offered. As much as possible the Department is offering substitute courses for these courses that are no longer offered. If you are in the older curriculum and you are unsure of what courses are substitutions, please contact Sue Lafond for help.
