Nomination for two ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence
ASU West Lecturer Julie Amparano has been nominated for two ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence for her play, “A Mother’s Will.” The play was nominated for Best Overall Production and Best Original Screenplay. The play premiered last October at South Mountain Community College. It was selected from more than 80 productions in the Phoenix area, according to the ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence. 
The 18th annual ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence will be presented on Monday September 29, 2008, with a ceremony at the Herberger Center Theater. At the ceremony, awards for the 2007-2008 theater season in Phoenix will be presented. In the course of the year, more than 80 productions from Phoenix area theaters were judged for the awards.
