NEW COLLEGE

HUMANITIES, ARTS & CULTURAL STUDIES DIVISION

Division of Humanities, Arts & Cultural Studies

The Division of Humanities, Arts & Cultural Studies (HArCS) brings together art with English, ethnic studies, history, philosophy, religion and women’s issues to create interdisciplinary programs that provide opportunities for intellectual dialogue between students and faculty in our degree programs. HArCS is committed to a critical examination of the various aspects of human experience and the sources of value in that experience. Our students graduate having mastered both written and oral communication skills, critical thinking skills and the cultural competency to enter the global workforce.
